TLDR
If changing what you can see and measure is hard, changing what you can’t see and can’t measure is harder. It’s a tall task, and it’s exactly what I help you do.
Start with the body
The physical body is a great starting point. We all have one and we all want to change ours. Lose weight, gain weight, get faster, get stronger, etc.
All of these changes are objective and measurable. You can step on a scale. You can wrap a tape measure around your waist. You can time your mile. You can count the reps.
And still, people struggle to make and maintain this objective change in their life. The diet lasts three weeks. The gym membership goes unused. The weight comes back.
Now make it invisible
So, what makes someone think they can change and maintain the things they can’t see and can’t measure? The subjective, invisible stuff like cognitions and emotions…
There’s no scale for Scared. There’s no tape measure for a belief you’ve held since you were seven. There’s no stopwatch for how quickly you get Mad when someone criticizes you.
Most people don’t even know these things are there. They just know that they keep ending up in the same place. Same arguments. Same relationships. Same anxiety. Same results.
A tall task
Reading a book won’t do it. Knowing what you “should” do won’t do it. If knowing were enough, everyone would already be in shape.
It’s a tall task and it’s exactly what I help you do.
For your consideration
What have you tried to change more than once? What patterns keep showing up in your life, no matter how hard you try? How would you know if something on the inside actually changed? What might you be unable to see, simply because you’ve never been shown where to look?
